hello this is my final blog. I will be reflecting on all the stuff i have researched so far. The first question that i investigated was:If you take a right triangle and change one side length how does that change the other length? How does that change the angles of the triangle. the data that i found was the following.
side ac Ac measurement bc bc measurement AB AB measurement
9 45 degrees 9 45 degrees 12.12 90 degrees
9 33.69 degrees 6 56.31 degrees 10.81 90 degrees
9 71.57 degrees 3 71.57 degrees 9.487 90 degrees
9 83.66 degrees 1 18.43 degrees 9.005 90 degrees
As you can see i did not find a pattern that could be used.
The second question I have investigated was one of my own it was:As you know some times with similar triangles the smaller triangle is sometimes half of the other triangle. So to relate to that my question would be: if you know the side lengths of the smaller triangle then do you know the side lengths of the the bigger triangle? The investigating that i did was very accomplished i have found the following data: the side lengths of the smaller triangle were:
3,4,5
6,8,10
9,12,15
12,16,20
5,12,13
10,24,26
7,24,25
8,15,17
16,30,34
The side lengths of the bigger triangle are:
6,8,10
12,14,20
18,24,30
24,32,40
10,24,26
20,48,52
14,48,50
16,30,34
32,60,34
As you can see the bigger triangle is double the side lengths of the smaller triangle.
so after this i will investigate a new question this one will be : are there more than a hundred Pythagorean triples?
